FAQ

What drive times are available?  

• • Our teachers do our best to accommodate the busy schedules that students and families have throughout the year.  

  • Summer class times can vary from 7am-1pm (M-F).  Some teachers can only drive after 3pm and on weekends.  We will place the students with the teacher whose schedule best fits with the student and their families schedule.  

  • During the school year high school students that attend (Gilbert, RS, or Ames) can drive during their study halls to help with extracurriculars after school.

When will I receive information about the class & sign up for drives?

• • Information for the online portion and scheduling for the driving portion of the course will be sent out 3-5 days before the start date.

What does the classroom portion look like?

• • The classroom portion is 30 hours at your own pace (within the scheduled dates you registered for). 

  • It is all done online using Google Classroom & taking quizzes on Quia Web.

    • Google Classroom assignment is broken into 15 days (approximately 2 hours for each "day")

    • Google Classroom has a document that breaks down the assignments for the day including: reading a PDF or reading a powerpoint, answering the chapter review questions found in the PDF, watching meaningful videos and recording key takeaways, and completing the daily quiz.
